The Box Elder Business Resource Center (BRC) is your one-stop-shop for your business resource needs. The BRC has a business library, photo studio, incubator office space, Small Business Development Center, and staff that keep up on all the local, state, and federal programs established to help your business succeed.  Additionally, the BRC staff are well-connected within the community and may be able to help you network with the right business partner!

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is part of a national network of Certified Business Analysts who are specifically trained to consult with you concerning your business.  Areas of consulting include financing, marketing, human resources, logistics, operations, among others!  The SBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration, which means the consulting services are provided free of charge.

I worked for ATK and gained a lot of experience. There are a lot of good people here. ATK has provided a lot of well-trained scientists and engineers; it is a good area to find these people.

The Box Elder Resource Center (BRC) has been helpful. We get training that helps us focus our thinking. Just having a sounding board, like Jason and Wendy and the Entrepreneur Launch Pad (ELP) meetings helps. Jason keeps us informed about things that are happening in the state and county. We’ve been better connected with the ELP, the county, and Brigham City’s economic development people through the BRC.

It has been a very positive experience [working at the BRC], and the space here is inexpensive. We currently have two office areas including one for a lab. We are growing out of this area, but that’s the goal—to help businesses grow.

The American Dream has happened here. I am a small town guy. With my family, I have had the community rally around and send me to local experts in the field including the Entrepreneur Launch Pad (ELP), Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and the networking of Box Elder Economic Development Alliance (BEEDA) to bring our idea to production.

Sitting down with these people has been priceless. I hope I can pay them back some day. I want to be able to bring someone to them and say, ‘This is what they did for me; they can do it for you, too.’ Even the county commissioners have talked to me and asked how they could help. They have opened my eyes to the world of business and made sense.
