Have you ever wondered what is behind the bookcase in the historic Box Elder County building? We found a door...to nowhere. :)
This room is the old law library where Rebecca is working. For now she is at the Treasurers office until the room is done (if you're looking for her).
Forbe's Magazine ranked Utah #1 place to do business...again!
2013 Rank: 3
Gross State Product: $141 billion
5-yr annual GSP growth: 2.4%
Governor: Gary Hebert
Utah moves back to the top spot where it ranked for three straight years from 2010 through 2012. The state has a very pro-business climate and companies benefit from energy costs that are 26% below the national average and third lowest in the U.S.
On November 7th, the Box Elder Economic Development Alliance held it's 5th annual Box Elder Business Summit with speakers ranging from the two high school student body presidents to Representative Ronda Menlove. There were 122 individuals who attended including 20 or so students from the local high schools.
The "Taste of Box Elder" was a success featuring 10 different vendors from around the County. The classes were well attended and many individuals enjoyed the opportunity to network with other businesses! All in all, the summit fulfilled it's mission.
Thanks to all who helped put on the summit, but especially we would like to thank Braquel Woodward and Wendy English for their efforts! Thank you!!!
More photos will soon come...
