Open, secure, and unrestricted air space

  • Available to local and out-of-state technology development companies to advance their UAS technology.
  • Currently supporting state and local agencies integrate UAS into their operations:
    • The Utah Highway Patrol
    • The Utah Division of Emergency Management
    • Various agencies, including police departments, throughout the state
    • Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office
  • Anchors northern Utah’s composite industry and assists the industry in developing advanced aerospace products.
  • Provides training grounds for future UAS operators; can contribute directly to workforce development in the region.
  • Positioned to be a source of job growth and economic development for Box Elder County.

Box Elder County is also part of an organization called CANU (Composites and Aerospace of Northern Utah).  There are nine members of the organization with the focus on marketing the Composites and Aerospace Industries.  In June of 2018, CANU put on an Inbound Trade Mission with the United Kingdom.  Here’s a short video of the event:

With participation from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), state and local lawmakers, Orbital ATK, and Utah State University, the Test Center will ensure that Utah remains on the forefront of the unmanned aircraft industry.
